LOW-DOSE NALTREXONE

An informational guide supported by scientific evidence on the many benefits LDN
Current studies show that Low Dose Naltrexone is a safe, cost effective treatment for chronic pain and autoimmune disorders. While these studies are underway, it is used widely in the U.S. for a variety of pain related disorders and autoimmune conditions while also being studied for a wide variety of other chronic conditions such as Crohn's disease, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Thyroid disease, and many others.

Recent research has identified multiple mechanisms by which LDN exerts its effects in the body. Understanding these mechanisms is extremely beneficial in understanding how LDN can be effective in so many diseases and conditions. By down regulating inflammation in the nervous system, it reduces pain, improves fatigue, sleep, and mood as well as physical function.

Below we have provided an informational guide for practitioners on the many benefits of Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) either alone or in combination with a patients regular medication regimen. This document was created with the intention to provide science based evidence to support the use of compounded LDN.
