Gene Gresh, Ron Sylvain and Peter Casinghino started Pioneer Health Compounding Pharmacy in January 2002. With several years of compounding experience, they decided that customized medicine offers patients many more options since countless therapeutic possibilities exist. WHAT IS COMPOUNDING? The science of compounding is a method of preparing medications to meet the unique needs of the prescribers and  their patients.  Compounding pharmacists play a major role in health care because of their ability to help solve some of the most challenging patient problems. For example, many patients are allergic to commonly used fillers, dyes, binders, and other additives that are a part of mass-produced medications.  In addition, many medications are available only in limited strengths and dosages.  Working with physicians, an innovative compounding pharmacist can continually help to provide solutions that offer solutions to medication dosing problems, meet patient's individual needs, and offer an improved quality of life.   Pain Assessment-We are now doing fee-based pain consultations by appointment to assess more complex cases of  pain management. We can then make recommendations for therapy to your healthcare practitioner. We schedule follow-up every 5-10 days until you are pain free.
